On January 1, 2010, a new rate structure will take effect throughout the PPL Electric Service Territory in accordance with the overall plan for Pennsylvania Deregulation (PA Dereg).  While PP&L (Pennsylvania Power and Light) will remain the default supplier of electricity or Provider of Last Resort (POLR), it is incumbent upon all commercial and industrial businesses to seek and obtain the best electric rates available for their respective companies.
